Who We Are
BADOTP (pronounced “Bad O.T.P.”) is a small business in Tulsa, OK, owned and operated entirely by a father (Wally) and son (Ben). In fact, that’s how we decided on our name. BADOTP, short for Ben and Dad’s Overland Truck Parts, started with a novel idea to solve a frustrating problem – Our gear would go all over the place in the bed of our trucks when we would go enjoy the great outdoors. Whether we were overlanding, camping, fishing, or anything else we enjoy, there was one thing we always needed – our gear to be accessible.
So Wally, with his background in steel fabrication, set out to build a device to solve our problem. The result was so effective and unique that Wally approached Ben with a crazy idea – What if we refined the design to fit virtually any truck bed and shared this solution with the world? As a mechanical engineer, Ben took the idea and ran with it. After 10 prototypes, The Rack was born. Now, after receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback about The Rack, Ben runs BADOTP full time out of our dedicated warehouse right here in Tulsa, OK.
